CPR V5000 Call Blocker
Once your phone number is on one marketing list, it will be shared with other dishonest businesses and scammers. Then, the robocalls will be endless.
When you are receiving 10 to 20 nuisance calls a day, it can be very annoying and, for some people, it is very distressing.
There are apps that you can download to stop scam calls on your smart phone. There are also services that your phone company may be able to provide.
What a lot of people use to block robocalls on landlines, though, is this CPR V5000 Call Blocker.
CPR V5000 Call Blocker – How Does it Work?
The CPR V5000 Call Blocker is very easy to install and use. You connect the device to your phone line with your existing phone cable. Then, you connect the CPR V5000 to your phone with another cable supplied with the device.
CPR V5000 Call Blocker doesn’t need a separate power supply. It uses the same power that your phone uses.
Once in place, the CPR V5000 Call Blocker will block calls from 5,000 known scam numbers. These numbers are preloaded into the system. You can then add a further 1,500 numbers that you want to block.
You can add new numbers to block by pressing the big red button during a call. That hangs up the phone and adds the number to the blocked numbers list. You can also add numbers manually, and you can block calls from a cordless phone by pressing #2.

CPR V5000 Call Blocker – The Verdict
The device will block many of the unwanted calls you may be receiving. It also allows you to block any number that you don’t receive calls from. It won’t stop every single robocall or scam call, but it will significantly reduce the number of calls that you get.
The CPR V5000 is one of the most popular call blocker devices on the market. The manufacturer claims that is America’s No 1 Call Blocker.
In terms of customer reviews, the CPR V5000 Call Blocker does very well. Most people say that the device significantly reduced the number of nuisance calls. It currently has a 75% 5-start rating on Amazon. Negative comments center around compatibility issues with some networks and phones.
On the downside, the 5,000 preloaded blocked numbers database is not updateable. That’s a bit of an oversight because new scam and nuisance callers are appearing all the time.
If you are getting plagued with lots of robocalls and nuisance calls, the CPR V5000 Call Blocker would be a worthwhile investment. But, check that the device is compatible with your landline provider and your phone before you buy it.
