Because the Vigilant PPS-20BL is designed to be worn around the neck, the alarm is only 125dB. That’s loud enough to deter an attacker and scare them away, but it’s not so loud that it would damage your hearing.

The Vigilant PPS-20BL is robust and weather resistant. The alarm is triggered by pressing a large red button on the front of the device. When activated, the alarm sounds a very high-pitched 125dB siren which can sound continuously for about 30 minutes. The alarm is deactivated when you press the button again.

The alarm features a red emergency locator light. This provides directional location whenever the alarm is activated. It also features an LED flashlight. The alarm is powered by LR44 batteries, which are easily replaceable.
